Privacy Policy

Who we are

HumbleAlerts is an independent, unofficial tracker for public Humble Bundle pages. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Humble Bundle, Inc.

If you have questions about this policy or your data, use the from-address on our alert emails.

What we collect

We collect only what we need to send alerts you asked for.

Email alerts

When you subscribe we store:

  • your email address
  • which categories you want (Games, Books, Software)
  • tokens used to confirm the subscription and to unsubscribe
  • when you confirmed, and when the subscription was created

We use double opt-in: we email you a confirm link before we send bundle alerts.

Browser push (optional)

If you enable browser push we store the push endpoint and encryption keys your browser gives us, plus the same category preferences. Push subscriptions are not tied to your email address.

What we do not collect

The public site has no accounts, no contact form, and no payments. We do not collect names, addresses, or payment details. Bundle pages we show are copied from Humble’s public site, not from you.

Why we use it

We use this data to send email and (if you opted in) browser notifications when a matching bundle appears, and to honour confirm and unsubscribe requests. We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.

The legal basis is your consent. You can withdraw it at any time by unsubscribing from email or turning off push in your browser.

Who we share it with

We share data only as needed to run the service:

  • our email delivery provider, to send confirmations and alerts
  • your browser’s push service (for example Apple, Google, or Mozilla) if you enable push

We do not send your email address or push details to Humble Bundle.

Cookies and similar storage

We do not use analytics or advertising cookies.

  • Essential cookies. Submitting the subscribe form may set an anti-forgery cookie so the request can be checked. That cookie is required for the form to work.
  • Cookie notice. When you accept the cookie notice we store a flag in your browser’s local storage (humblealerts.cookie-notice) so we do not show it again. That is not a cookie.
  • Staff login. The Umbraco backoffice at /umbraco uses its own session cookies. Those apply only to people who sign in to manage the site.

Fonts

Typefaces on this site are hosted on our own servers. Visiting the public site does not load fonts from Google or another third-party font CDN.

How long we keep it

We keep email subscriptions until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them. Unconfirmed subscriptions may be removed after a reasonable period. Push subscriptions are kept until you disable push or the browser endpoint stops working.

Your choices

You can unsubscribe from email using the link in any alert. You can disable browser push in your browser settings. You can also ask us to access or delete the subscriber or push records we hold for you by emailing the from-address on our alerts.

Humble Bundle

Bundle names, artwork, and other Humble materials belong to their owners. We only read public pages and always link back to Humble. This policy does not cover Humble’s own site or services.

Changes

We may update this policy when the service changes. The date at the top will change when we do.
